Wills drafting for elderly clients

Student participants conducted several consultation sessions with elderly clients to ascertain their intention and to evaluate their testamentary capacity. Lawyers then supervised student participants to draft wills based on the information collected. Consequently, the elderly clients signed the wills in the presence of the two lawyers, student participants and social workers.

Assisting organizations in obtaining charitable status under the Inland Revenue Ordinance

Under the supervision of lawyers, student participants conducted legal research and filled in relevant documents to obtain charitable status under the said Ordinance.

Employees’ compensation and personal injuries

Lawyers and student participants offered free legal advice concerning employees’ compensation to an injured worker and drafted an affirmation. Student participants also conducted legal research on the claim of negligence in case of vehicular collision. Lawyers and student participants jointly provided free legal advice to the victim of the accident

Corporate matters

Lawyers and student participants completed documents on policies regarding SMEs and start-ups, and offered low-priced legal advice on partnerships, shareholders’ duties, resolving shareholders’ disputes, business registration, trademark registration, copyrights and company incorporation in Hong Kong.
