I understood the difficulties, especially the legal troubles, faced by foreign domestic workers.
I noticed how the existing labour and immigration laws restricted access to justice and provided insufficient protection to them. I have also practiced how to present and structure legal principles in a clear, concise and user-friendly manner.
Isaac Ng (Linklaters)

Through the experience, I have gained valuable insights into the operation and working culture of a socially responsible law firm. I have also built up the awareness of client’s specific needs, which could be understood by putting myself into the client’s position. Apart from that, by observing how the professional practitioner interacts with real clients, I obtained an idea about the skills required for a successful solicitor.
Kuinton Lam (Anthony Siu & Co)
I attended both court hearing, solicitors’ meeting with applicants for Legal Aid and residents in Community Legal Advice sessions, I did not only witness some criminal proceedings and procedures for Legal Aid, but also a wide variety of legal principles ranging from tort nuisance to probate registry. It was especially fruitful when I could research into cases and provide assistance to clients in need.
Kristina Leung (Kenneth Lam & Solicitors)

I have learnt about the work in a local boutique commercial law firm, as well as company law and charity law.
Ingrid Yau (Vivien Teu & Co)

I learned about the pro bono work law firms undertake, as well as how law firms give back to the community. More specifically, I learned about pandemic, data privacy, and cryptocurrency regulations, as well as about family offices.
